Puratos rolls out new filling and crème cake combos

Ingredients supplier Puratos UK has launched two complementary cake mix and filling combinations.

New to the range of Satin Crème Cake fillings are custard and speculoos variants. The custard mix is recommended for pairing with the new Topfil Rhubarb fruit filling, while the speculoos mix is recommended for pairing with the new Cremfil Ultim Salted Chocolate filling.

Puratos said the launch of the new combinations was inspired by trends for tradition, nostalgia and sweet and savoury flavours.

The launch of the Topfil Rhubarb fruit filling follows Puratos’ acquisition of fillings and sauces supplier Fruitapeel in December 2017, which Puratos said further boosted its expertise and capabilities in this area.

“These new launches provide our customers with the opportunity to offer innovative, exciting and high-quality solutions this autumn and winter season,” said Lydia Baines, Puratos UK digital and communications manager.

“The traditional flavour pairing of rhubarb and custard resonates with consumers on an emotional level and offers them the comfort and nostalgia they are seeking.
