ASIAN INSPIRATION

Asian flavours are growing in popularity on the UK bakery scene and beyond. Pandan, cherry blossom and citrus flavours such as yuzu are finding their way into a range of baked goods.

So, how are bakers incorporating them into their products? Which flavours work best in certain formats? Are there any flavours that are too bold for British palates at this time? And what can be done to change consumers’ minds and open their eyes to a whole new world of flavour?

The feature will also include recipes from flavourings suppliers or bakers that illustrate ways in which Asian flavourings can be used.
